Eligibility criteria for Canada Student Visa

Documents required for Canadian Visa
You should apply for a student visa after you get the acceptance letter from college. The following are the documents required to apply for Canada Student Visa.
You must possess a valid passport to apply for a Study Permit. You must have a passport whose validity covers the intended stay in Canada according to Canadian High Commission.
You must produce the acceptance letter from the university/institute you are planning to attend. A Designated Learning Institute is a university recognized by the Immigration Department.
While applying for a Study Permit, you must show proof of funds enough to pay your tuition fees as well as for living expenses. The Canadian Immigration deems a student would require a minimum of CAD 10,000 for every year of stay. The student must also prove that he/she has enough funds for a return fair as well.
Note:
While filling the application form, you would have to show the proof of fees paid and the stipulated cost of living – CAD 10,000. For Quebec, at least CAD 11,000 is required for every year of stay.
For offline application, you need two passport-sized photographs. For an online application, a digital copy of the photograph & its file size less than 4MB. Standard requirements are neutral facial expression, plain background and no headgear (unless for religious purposes).
Note:
• Size of the image should be at least 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm
• Image should be recent (picture taken less than 6 months)
Canadian Immigration requires international students to undergo a compulsory Immigration Medical Examination from enlisted doctors, preferably a week before starting Visa Application. The physician will perform a complete medical checkup and refer you for x-rays and laboratory tests. Once your medical exam is completed, the physician will send the results to CIC.
It is not required at the time of application but we strongly recommend you to get your English Language Proficiency Score before you start your Visa Application Process. Your English language proficiency score must be submitted to confirm your admission to the Canadian University. TOEFL, IELTS, CELPIP are all acceptable.
When applying for a Canadian Study Permit, you might have to submit an essay stating the purpose of your trip to Canada and why you have chosen the particular institution.
The system only accepts credit cards. If you are going to use your parents card, you are supposed to have a permission for that.
If applying online, you should have access to a digital scanner. If you are applying offline, you should have original documents of all the above-mentioned documents. It is important to note that while applying online, you would be required to download a few documents, fill, sign, and then upload them. The availability of the scanner must be arranged accordingly. The system requests to upload a high-quality digital image.
Additional documents may be requested by the interviewer. These may be documents to prove evidence of academic or financial status.

• Cease your studies if you no longer meet the requirements
